Eileen and family, we were all so shocked and saddened to hear that Tom passed away.
Dad was deeply upset and said Tom was like a brother to him, remembering the laughter and banter the two of them had.
We can't believe we won't see him when we walk up the hill or have him stop by on the way to the village..
He was always a great friend and neighbour to us all. Abbeydorney will not be the same without him.
RIP Tom Lyons.

Saddened to hear of the death of Tom Lyons. Heartfelt sympathy to Eileen, Tony and Mary. What a wonderful human being? He enriched the lives of all of us lucky enough to stumble on his pathway. Whether wearing the number 6 of Abbeydorney or Kerry Tom always gave of his best. Honest, determined, dependable and loyal. No doubt the Heavenly reaper will beckon you, Tom and speak the immortal words “you hurled like a man, you played the game”.
