Deeply saddened to hear of Tom’s passing. I first met Tom in the 1980’s through our Financial User Group. My. Condolences to Mary & close family, RIP great man we still have memories.

So sorry to hear (only today) of Tom's passing. I used to swim with him in Marian College pool years ago. He was a pure gentleman and so kind to my Dad (RIP) who used also swim there and had the early signs of Alzheimer's. May he Rest in Peace.

It was distressing to hear of Tom's passing. He was a stalwart member of the Beggar's Bush Golf Society to which he contributed immensely. Condolences to his family at this very sad time.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's death. I have happy memories of a trip to Royan in France many ,many years ago with Tom and Mary ( and the Renault 5 ) as part of a gang of 10. What an afable ,intelligent guy. I remember Tom and Mary as a beautiful gentle couple . I am blessed to have met Tom if only on a number of occasions. My heartfelt sympathy to Mary and their Daughter Marissa ( whom I only met as a 3 month old baby ). My condolences to Tom's extended family and friends.

Mary, I was so so sorry to hear about Tom's sudden & untimely passing. I cannot imagine the pain of loss that you & Marissa & the Magner family are experiencing. I knew Tom originally from being in the combined Drama group between St Paul's & Holy Faith Clontarf. He was great fun then & such a young gentleman & it seems nothing changed. I watched Tom's Funeral Mass on the webcam - heartbroken I couldn't be there in person. It was a wonderful tribute to him. The three of you were very brave and dignified and your loving words would certainly have got across to everyone what Tom's life was about and that he was a special man.
You and Tom have been lovely friends to me and my family for many years, always caring, kind and good company.
I will remember Tom with great fondness and gratitude.

We knew each other from rugby in St.Paul’s, the Grove, joined AIB together 25/9/78 and ended up in ‘computers’ together. Along with rugby and golf, I remember Tom as a competitive squash player and strong swimmer.
Tom was kind, considerate and generous to everyone.
His spirit will be with us forever.

Deepest sympathies to the extended Magner family on Tom’s sudden passing. I knew him well from AIB rugby trips where he was always at the centre of everything. We went into a busy Indian restaurant in Edinburgh the night before the Scotland game, place was full and when asked if we had a reservation, Tom piped up, Aye, it’s under McGregor! We were shown to a table and the rest is history. From AIB rugby, through Suttonians and the Stan Bolton Harlequins, Tom left an indelible mark, with his dedication and good humour which he shared with us all. Sleep well old friend.

Tom was a club stalwart, player, tour legend and ex-club president and was the glue that kept AIB RFC together for many years. He welcomed me to the club 23 years ago and i had the pleasure of his company on every annual rugby tour since then.

Rest in peace TJM.... i hope they like touring up there!!!
