I would like to extend my sympathy to Tom's family on his sad recent passing.

In his lifetime Tom made a major contribution to the Irish education system in particular during his tenure as Principal of Colaiste Rosmini. In a short number of years the school offered an extensive academic curriculum to generations of students from Drumcondra and its environs.

This enabled some to pursue third level education, others to pursue careers in the Civil Service and financial institutions and others to establish successful businesses.

It was Tom's appreciation of the need to holistically develop students that enabled this to happen. His contribution to the Irish education system at all levels will be his enduring legacy.
