Sincere sympathy to Regina and to all of the extended family on the passing of Tom. Tom was a lifelong friend of whom I have many cherished memories most especially his Christmas visits when he was living in Mill Lane and would regale the children with stories on his favourite subjects, wildlife, fishing and shooting. A most knowledgeable and informed man on many subjects. May he Rest in Peace.
To the McDermott Family,

Deepest condolences on the passing of Tom. He will always be remembered with great fondness by the Kennedy family. Each Christmas without fail, his card would arrive, unmistakably signed “The Right Hon.” It never failed to raise a smile in our house and became a small but cherished tradition that we looked forward to every year. Even after the passing of our parents Tommy and Dolores, Tom kept the tradition going. It was a small gesture that meant a great deal and reflected the thoughtful man he was.

May you find comfort in the many memories he created and in knowing how fondly he is remembered.

Tom could be a serious minded contributor to any conversation when necessary but was a hearty, proud, centre town Naas man with a wonderful attachment to all things Naas, anchored with a jovial sense of character as he loved to retrace a youthful past, full of simple devilments. May he Rest in Peace.
