Deepest sympathy to all Toms family & friends. He was a lovely cheerful and kind gentleman. May he rest in peace.
Deepest sympathy to all the Murray family on the passing of Tom. Such a lovely man and a wonderful neighbour. Both himself and Vera were so good to Dan and Cara when they were small and his company was even more cherished as they became adults. He was always so kind to our pets too, he always treated them as his own. We will miss our chats together and his gentle nature. The lane just won’t feel the same without him. Rest easy now Tom. Thinking of all Tom’s family and friends who loved him and mourn his loss.

Condolences to the Murray family.

A sad day in Coolfore. Our family had the pleasure of knowing Tom after we moved to the area in 2015. His door was always open to a visitor, and it was always an enjoyable chat with Tom whose love of nature and animals was always heart warming.

Your positivity and fortitude in recent times was admirable, and it was always a pleasure to spend some time with you. You will be missed.

May you rest in peace Tom, a pure gentleman and great neighbour always in good humour, condolences to all the family. RIP.
Sincere condolences to Toms family on his sad passing. Over the years I enjoyed Toms company and he was a most interesting man. His young years were spent near Kenagh in Longford before he met his late wife Vera Mackle, a Drogheda woman and they married in 1957 and emigrated to England. Tom worked long hours on construction sites and the motor ways. He had a passion and great knowledge for vintage machinery and with his gifted hands he could repair and restore any make or model.Tom loved nature and all animals in years past he was regularily seen walking the roads and fields with his loyal German Shepard friends. He will be sadly missed around Coolfore and The Rocks. Rest in peace Tom, your work is all done now, your Angel is waiting
Our deepest sympathy to Tom family may he rest in peace he is with Vera now
We only really got to know Tom in the last 5 years or so. Whenever we'd call, he was always upbeat & good humoured, even throughout his illness. He took joy in the simple things in life & was a man who lived close to nature. He watched for the swallows returning to his garage each Spring, his flowers & fruit in Summer & in Winter his glorious holly berries, which adorned many of the neighbours' houses at Christmas. He prided himself in being able to shop, cook & clean - something, he said, he had to learn after his beloved Vera passed away. And all these he did very well. He was so appreciative of the things people did for him no matter how small.

It was a pleasure to have known you, Tom. You were an absolute gentleman. Rest easy now. You've earned your place in Heaven.
