I did not know Tom but was moved by the awful story when it happened and have followed it ever since, like most people.

So many tributes left here in memory of the type of many Tom was: a huge part of the fabric of the community in which he lived, a thoroughly decent man in life and one you could depend on, etc. There are not many like that anymore.

Sincere condolences to all of his loving family, extended family, friends and colleagues. Also, to the nursing staff who took such great care in looking after him since that awful time.

It was with great sadness we learned of Tom’s passing. He was such an integral part of our shed from it started in 2013, he was a friend to us all. A man you could depend on.
