Very sad news to hear of Tom's passing so close to Xmas and the New Year. My heart goes out to Tom's family and friends at this sorrowful time.

I remember Tom as a young boy playing around the Fairfield area and his beloved Mum (Ann) and Dad (Con), not to mention his lovely sister Noreen who reposes in Wales.

I once went to visit Tom's Dad (Con) around Xmas one year up in the family home in Knockpogue Avenue, Farranree. Tom presented me with a tumbler of whiskey and told me to beat it back, much to his Dad's approval.

I left their house an hour later soused and sloshed! Tom waved me off at the door laughing at my crab-like crawl down the steps to an awaiting taxi.

I offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Tom's family and all his friends.

All losses are restored and sorrows end."
