A few years back we both took an interest in our family history and were able to exchange some old family photos and we tried to fill some gaps in our family knowledge and Tom was very helpful. Time it was, & what a time it was. As my younger brother mentioned here earlier, our Uncle Tom, Aunt Josie & Val & Young Tom often visited our home at No. 1 Eden Terrace, Glasthule, back when we were all so much younger.
They were a lovely family & Ma loved when they called to see her., especially in the years after our own Da died, too early also.
Tom - the Da - was a gentle & friendly man, very easy to be with, while Josie was great fun, who developed a liking for the Southern Comfort & Red Lemonade I gave her at times! A lovely woman.
Val was away when our mother died & as Vin remarked, we were very taken & touched when Tom made his way up here for her funeral. A lovely guy, always

Lizzie, I don't really know you but I'm so sorry for you, your kids and all the family that Tom has been taken from you so early but of course he will forever be with you. That I know. Take care.

I had the privilege of working with Tom in Revenue Thurles in the early 80s. He was a thorough gentleman and I have many happy memories of that time. My deepest condolences to Liz and the rest of the family. May Tom’s gentle soul rest in peace.
