My sincere sympathy to all of Tom's family, his GAA and handball families who mourn the Big Man. Tom had been most loyal to my uncle Tom all of his life. Always great fun and full of humour, whether on a GAA pitch, a handball court or teaching Bono a few notes! So many are indebted to Tom's building skills in this country and far beyond. May Tom's gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Tom was a great man, everyone has said how he touched so many lives and I was one of those. I worked with Tom for a few summers as a teenager in the early 2000’s and had a great time with him. Lots of laughs and I still follow, and pass on, advice he gave me. I was lucky to know him. Rest In Peace.

Many many year's ago when I worked in the Dom Arms Hotel, I remember Tom would take charge at closing time at the weekend's of the front door of the hotel allowing people in and out. Tom would assist people in either getting away home or finding their belongings. Everybody knew Tom and Tom knew Everybody. Always very pleasant and kind mannered with a smile or a laugh. When Tom would be out socially he enjoyed a gin and white. White lemonade is a very unusual mixer in a gin. When I questioned Tom about the white lemonade he said many year's ago when he had his first gin he was given a white lemonade and acquired a taste for it since. What a man, if Tom couldn't do you a good turn he certainly wouldn't do you a bad one. Great memories. Sadly missed. Deepest sympathy to all of Tom's family. May he rest in peace.
