Heartfelt sympathy to the Roughan family on the passing of our kind hearted neighbour Tom. He was an honest and imaginative farmer and he and Madge were a great team. Our area is all the poorer for their passing - they were instrumental in their strong Christian beliefs. In their building with the help of their neighbours, Our Lady's Grotto at Erinagh Cross is testament to their faith. Their restoration of Jigs Forge is their heritage and their support of every venture in Toonagh Hall from its inception in the early 1970s ensured community spirit. Tom's interest and involvement in athletics can never be underestimated. His interest in singing and storytelling is legendary. They were stalwarts of the parish of Dysart and we all feel your loss today. Rest In Peace Tom & Madge.
