Sincerest sympathy to the extended Savage Family on the passing of Tom. Over half a century encountered Tom & he inspired confidence to all around him & great support for those , like myself , as Volunteers in SVP. in Drogheda area.

I did Social Studies with Tom at Queen's University in the mid-1960s. He was a priest then and we had many great times doing field work in Glencolumcille in Co Donegal. He was a priest then and to me seemed to embody much that was positive in the Vatican Council. We lost touch after I went to Australia but I sort-of followed his career from afar. My thoughts and preyers are with the family. Tom, ar lamh dheis De go raibh do ainm.

I had the privilage of attending some courses that Tom gave and I found him one of the nicest people I had ever met. Such a gentleman , the world will be a lesser place without him. RIP. Tom

Terry and Anton. Deepest sympathy on Tom's passing to a well deserved eternal reward. A gentleman to his finger tips and so willing to help anyone who came calling for help. Particularly when I was with the Retirement Planning Council which he helped to found. Then when I left there his advice was spot on and I went on to set up my own company providing the same service. I regret not having called to see him since his illness as he made it clear that there was always an open invitation to do so. You will all miss him but can remember having had a great man as husband and father. John

I am so saddened to hear about Toms passing. Tom was one in a million. I had the great pleasure of working alongside Tom for many years. He was a sources of great inspiration to myself and my colleagues in AIB Corporate Banking. He was a gorgeous person, a gentleman with a huge heart and great fun to be around. I learn with sadness that Tom has died. My sincere warmest best wishes are extended to Terry and Anton, Peter and all members of the family in general.
Anyone who came in contact with Tom would realize immediately how gifted a man he was. The great pleasure for me was to experience the combined personalities of Terry and Tom in 'full flight' in their work on behalf of their client/s.
As John O'Donohue, author of Anam Chara and many more publications, said that when we die, we don't go far away He was confident that scientists will discover and later prove that this is so.

I worked with Tom in early 90's in Dept of the Taoiseach. He was a very warm and friendly person - an absolute gentleman. Rest in peace Tom.

So sad to hear of Tom's death. I met Tom through training and interview prep over the years. I was struck by his great skill and ability to communicate with people where they were at, challenge in a most supportive way with kindness and paternal care.
