Deepest sympathy to the Shanahan, O'Sullivan and Moriarty families on Tom's passing.I had the great pleasure of working with Tom for many years at Tralee greyhound track.He was a real genius who kept the track in great mechanical running order and we never missed a nights racing solely due to his perfection and attention.
May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincerest condolences to Mick and the extended Shanahan family. Tom was part of the furniture in Rathbeg with his regular visits.. often crossed tracks with him down there. Truly a gentle soul and often up for banter about anything and everything. Learning to drive at one time,Tom left me drive his then car (SEAT) along Inch beach one evening when he went back for a cold swim a memory I carry with me for ever.
