My sincere sympathy to Tommy’s family and friends on his sudden passing. I worked with Tommy for several years in St. Kilians’ CS and always enjoyed his positive, calm and witty personality. He was always there to help and offer advice, especially when we worked together in the night school where we had many long conversations. Very sincere condolence to Tommy's family on his loss. I was very sad to hear of his passing. I will always remember Tommy as an eternally young and sprightly man - a great dancer, who was always most kind and helpful, and whose company was always a pleasure. In essence, Tommy was a gentleman, and he will be sincerely missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace and may the great respect that he was held in by all who knew him bring comfort to his family.

Condolences to the sherlock family thinking of you all in this sad time

There's an old adage that comes to mind upon seeing the sad news of Tom Sherlock's + death. Tommy or Sherlock as he was fondly known was my caretaker, our caretaker while I was a student at St. Killian's Community school. Tommy will always hold the title of OUR CARETAKER because the old adage I want to mention applies very aptly indeed:
You never remember what teachers teach you but you remember how they made you feel. Tommy was one of those rare members of Staff back in the 80's who was kind, humble, diligent, helpful and possessed a good sense of humour. Both he and Paddy his Caretaking Colleague were a great team. Helping to make our school days feel good. I am proud to say that I now embrace the wonderful profession of Teaching. Thanks to the likes of Tommy. Rest well Tommy (Sherlock) & thank you.
