So terribly sorry to hear of your loss Ann. Nu and I were really shocked to hear of his passing.

I have only now learned of the death of my dear long time friend Tom. I am totally in shock. To you Ann, I am truly sorry, you were both such love birds way back in the early 70’s and through life, please accept my deepest sympathy

Am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. I knew him in DCU, he was a wonderful person with a great intellect. He is such a loss. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Very sad to hear that Tom has left us. His life has been an inspiration to many and he continued to fight the good fight all the way. Deepest sympathy to all the family. Tom will be missed by many.

We are in Singapore with Desmond and family and cannot attend his funeral.

Tom was one of a kind. A gentleman, a scholar, a fabulous husband, father and grandfather but most of all a friend. I'm so humbled and honoured to have known him for all these years. He has left a huge whole in this world and our lives. I will miss him so very much. Rest in peace Tom, all my love xxx
