Sincere condolence to Eileen and family on the sad passing of Tom

Just heard of the passing of my first cousin Tom. Last time we met was at the funeral of Bunnys wife Julie and we spoke of a Cowman family reunion. Tom even wrote to me about it, but unfortunately it didnt happen. Regrets, regrets. Another link gone in the Cowman Family. Sympathy to Eileen and his family. (Ps. Eileen - I was sorry to hear of Tom’s death. What a great character - always in great form with a big smile and wonderful stories. You were a great pair and you both certainly enjoyed life to the full - you will have great memories. Thinking of you Eileen. Mary

Truly heartbroken to hear of Tom's passing. Tom was such an amazing man who brought laughter, friendship, and joy to all that were privileged to have met him. Eileen, Kieran, Elaine, Richard and Louise, I was so very sad to hear of your beloved Tom's passing. He was such a lovely man - kind, warm, friendly and always in good form with that great smile. So many very happy memories from our years in Brittas Bay which he loved so much and was so much part of. I've bumped into Tom several times in the years since and it was always such a pleasure to have a chat with him. He still had that same wonderful sense of humour and genuine interest in hearing how the family are doing. I pass your home often and saw him not long ago pottering around the front garden which he kept so beautifully. We are thinking of you and praying for you at this really difficult time. Eileen and family sincerest sympathy to you at this difficult time. Tom was a wonderful neighbour I will miss his wonderful smile and the chats that he was always up for - quite often when his much used lawnmower was stopped mid cutting of the grass. The topics discussed varied considerably and included the the burning issues of the day, gardening tips (much appreciated) and of course his family. He spoke so proudly and affectionally of Kieran, Richard, Elaine, Louise and his grandchildren and of course Eileen. May Tom rest in peace.

Words are difficult to put together for Tom. For us, he was n always will be Mr Brittas Bay. I've known him for over 50 years and looked upon him as my second father. His manner hardly changed over the years and if you wanted an honest answer you could always be guaranteed he would do so.

We were so sorry to hear of the sudden death of Tom. Even though we had lost contact in the previous years we have so many happy memories of Tom both in Brittas

All our family are saddened by the news of a fantastic uncle and absolute great person passing. I have loads of fond memories of meeting with Tom. When I was very young and in hospital from a serious traffic accident he visited every day and and helped with my feeding. I didn't know this until later in life when Julie and Pat told me. What a fantastic thing to do and I have always been in awe of Tom ever since.... more than going beyond what a godfather would do, thank you once again Tom.

You will will genuinely forever be in my thoughts and prayers and Jane and I will miss you. We rarely, in recent times, managed to meet face to face but you were never far and will never be far from our thoughts. good bless you and rest in peace. A true gentleman and an inspiration.
