Our deepest sympathies to Con and the Donohoe family on the loss of cousin Tommie.
The Smith family and I have many wonderful memories of him.
Back in the summer of 1973 our parents, Con and Kathleen Smith, brought their three youngest children to Ireland for a month from NJ.
Tommie was a big part of showing us life on the farm that July. He let me drive his tractor, bail the hay, herd and milk his cows among other activities. Tommie even let me sneak a sip of Guinness as a teen.
We had a grand time overall. Aunt Bridget made us a memorable breakfast of fresh eggs, rashers and milk every day. Both Aunt Bridget and Tommie made us feel special which gave us a great connection to our Irish family.
Years later, when my wife and I visited Ireland, he was kind enough to give us a tour of the family farm. Tommie and his family are in our prayers. May he rest peacefully.
He will be deeply missed!
