Many, many's the time we sat, laughed and drank at Horan's with Tommy in later years.
Teen years were spent queueing, silently praying that our fake IDs would get us past the bouncers, and into the excitement that lay beyond.
He brought some amazing bands to our small town back in the day.
If those walls could talk!

I have good memories of the summer of 1966 in Ballybunion as a young fella collecting glasses & sorting bottles for Tommy .. many a dinner Celine gave me .. good people , my sympathy to all the family

His showband era relationships went beyond Tralee and if he couldn't help he'd know someone who could, and often he didn't have to be asked. Through my own parents I once went to him to rent a pool table and I have an abiding memory of an understanding businessman who inspired of the long haul - yeah, even to a teenager he was different.

Tommy provided the backtrack to our lives for five decades with Ballybunion and Killarney in 60's and Horans Hotel and Ballroom in the 70's to the 00'.We were provided with the best of entertainment from Irish, British and International acts in a venue that was up there with the best in the country. Our lives were enriched for knowing Tommy who was everpresent in Horans with a friendly smile a jovial greeting and lively chat with customers old and new.
So in your own words our friend "lads it's time to gather our traps and go home "we wish you a final goodnight and eternal rest .

So sad to hear of the death of Tommy. My sincere condolences to Donie and all the family. Great memories of both dancing and playing in both Tralee and Ballybunion ballrooms back in the day. He was an absolute gentleman and brought much joy and entertainment to everyone. Rest in Peace Tommy.

Both I and my sisters will never forget Tommy for his kindness to dad especially his regular visits to dad when he was a resident in Cul Didin Nursing Home and the touching message he left us when dad passed away.
