With a heavy heart I say goodbye to my dear friend Tommy, a true gentleman ,we were friends for over fifty years, he and his wife Phyllis lived in England as we did, we all grew up there , danced together, partied together and were best friends, to Phyllis, Maria and all the family I pass on my deepest sympathy, may his gentle soul rip.

He was very devoted to and enjoyed his frequent trips to his much loved County Leitrim with his lovely wife Phyllis. We loved meeting them both on every occasion possible. I got to know Tommy in the 1970's when I started at Asahi, where we worked together for 11 years.
He was always a true gentleman, kind, polite, generous and very obliging.
Forever willing to help others, and always had a kind word for everyone, and so very proud of "his Maria".

Very sorry to hear the news of the passing your husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Tommy was a good friend to Dad, and they had a lot of laughs all those years ago up in Asahi and uptown- back when Sunday nights was the night for dancing . They had some good times. Tommy will be missed by many.

Dear Aunty Phyllis, Maria and family,
I am so sorry for your great loss, and especially sorry for the difficult time Tommy experienced over the last months. I have such great memories of Uncle Tommy. He was always so fun, so good to me when I was a little girl. Granny Bridgie loved her son's in law, Tommy , Noel Burke( Daddy) and Eamon Munnelly. I hope they are all reunited in heaven around a table with granny, having a big Sunday dinner! She loved to feed them and spoil them and they loved her.
