We both send our sincere condolences to you all on the sudden passing of Tommy. I have fond memories, when I was a child, of going into his shop in Bray many years ago with my Mum. Both of my late parents (Bill & Mary) always spoke so fondly of Tommy. He was a gentleman and lovely person inside and out. RIP Tommy.

Tommy exuded an unforgettable warmth that will never be forgotten. Gentleman is how most people describe him and his sheer musical talent was immense. His two sons, Torsten & Niels carry on his beloved Kinsella tradition and Tommy himself helped them do it worldwide.

Devastating news of Tommy’s passing. I first met Tommy in 1969 at the Arcadia Ballroom in Bray when we started The Cotton Mill Boys together. I have only the fondest of memories of the many years we played together and our enduring friendship of over 50 years. Not only was Tommy a great bass player and vocalist, but his contribution to everything was always 100%. I don’t think I ever heard Tommy say a demeaning or disparaging word about anyone, and that’s who he was – an ultimate professional, loyal dependable friend, and stimulating conversationalist. Always fun to be with. I feel privileged to have known Tommy, honored to have played music with him, and proud to call this wonderful human being my friend. He epitomized everything we aspire to becoming as responsible members of this human race. My deepest condolences to his family – sadly missed, but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Tommy, your contribution to the music scene in Ireland during the 1960s and '70s was immense, first on the beat-scene with Orange Machine and Blue and later on the showbands' circuit with the Cotton Mill Boys and Buckshot. Your pride in your sons' band was clear for all to see. Peace my friend. You will be missed in The Mineral Bar.
