What a privilege it was to work alongside such a thorough gentlman. Tommy was a Caretaker in every sense of the word, caring for staff, students, parents, colleagues...and the School, of which he was so proud... with unfailing humour and courtesy. We, and each of our sons, owe so much to this lovely, gentle, brilliant Rose-grower, now called to his reward. Beannacht Dé ort, Tommy, ár gcara.

Sincere sympathy to Finbarr, Kay and all the Walsh family. I worked with Tommy at Cork School of Music for many years and what great times we had. He was such a special person and a great worker. The Tall Ships were in Cork the day Tommy retired and it was a night to remember. I am sorry not to be able to attend the funeral as I am out of the country.

Sincere condolences to Tommys family. I was firstly a student and then a teacher in the school of music. The school
was run by Tommy and Paddy. You couldn’t meet a nicer and most helpful pair. Tommy was such great fun and always so busy. Never too busy for the chat and the sharing of good stories. I loved the way he answered the phone with that lovely singing voice. We missed him when he retired, the place was never the same.
I hope the wonderful memories you have will be of some comfort to you all at this time. Rest in peace.
