Sincerest condolences to Maureen and the extended Allen family on the sad death of Tony, husband, father and grandfather.
Tony and I commenced our love of cycling nearly 60 years ago when we set up the Antlers Cycling Cub. After a couple of years youth hostelling we took to cycle racing with enthusiasm, racing in the Phoenix Park and showing off our new kit in the Skerries road circuit race. We moved to the Eagle Cycle Racing Club together.
In different ways we contributed to the sport over the years and our paths crossed from time to time.
Saddened at Tony's death,coming so soon after that of his brother Dick.

A true gentleman. As a young cyclist I lived in Donaghmede. Tony gave me advise and looked after my bike. Later on I also worked with his son in law, Viv. RIP Tony.

Deepest sympathy on the sad passing of Tony. He was a friend and clubmate of my Dad, Sean, when they raced for Eagle CRC back in the 50's and 60's and then I had the pleasure of getting to know him when I raced for the club myself in the 80's/90's. He was always a gentleman and encouraging to younger riders. RIP

Very sorry to hear of Tony's passing.

The fondest of memories of racing Junior in 1991 and 1992 in Ireland and Tony being the Irish Junior Manager at the time to look up to for selections etc.

As well as that he did great admin work for the FIC as it was then.

I think him and my dad Tony enjoyed manys a drink together....

A real cycling man who did a lot for the sport in Ireland.
