I was so sorry to hear of the sad passing of Tony. He had a unique talent for capturing the coming and goings of characters and events in verse. He was always a ready & willing volunteer for the Annual Church gate collection in Urbleshanny for Monaghan Mental Health Association. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Sincerest sympathies to Kathleen, Louis, Patrick and all members of the McClave and their extended families on the death of Tony R.I.P. Tony and I go back a long way, pupils together in Urbleshanny N.S and Monaghan C.B.S..; students together in St.Patricks College Drumcondra, graduating as N.T.s in 1968. There our paths divided for a while, he moved back to Monaghan while I remained in Dublin, meeting occasionally on my trips back home. I will miss his friendship, wit and intelligent conversation greatly.

We are sad this evening to learn that Tony has taken leave of Ballinode and the community he loved and enriched in his lifetime in his special way.
May he be at peace for ever in the house of the Lord.
