On behalf of Bellevue Golf Society I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Tony.The Bellevue members never took the golf outings too seriously it was more about having a good fun day with plenty of CRAIC and I know this sat very comfortably with him. Tony loved his golf outings playing regularly with his brother Jimmy and his very close friend and confidant Thomas Leonard.I was Treasurer of the society for many years and without exception Tony was by far our most generous sponsor. His greatest moment without doubt came on the 9th.hole in Knockanally golf club a par 3 when Tony unleashed his driver at the ball ,flying low and fast it flew towards the green hitting the flag and dropping into the hole a truly magnificent ace or hole in one.We have wonderful memories of Tony in particular his quirky sense of humour he always got a kick out of telling me he liked my brother David better than me and visa versa when he was talking to David.Tony was a wonderful friend to us all generous beyond belief and we will remember him with great fondness,Rest in Peace Dear Friend.
