Tony Breen

Just heard of Tony's sad passing.
I was one of his students in Ballyfermot Voc. School in the 70s. He was a brilliant maths teacher and guided me into a career in engineering and gave me my first job in the old school. Thanks for all your advice and help Tony and may you rest in peace

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Tony. May He Rest in Peace. My deepest sympathy to his wife Anne and family. I worked with Tony when I was in the HR Department in CDVEC Head Office. He was a gentleman and always so good humoured.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Tony's death. To Ann and family and the extended family we offer our deepest sympathy on his passing. Tony was a great colleague in the CDVEC and a friendly and open person and a gentleman to his fingertips.

Huge Tributes to Tony are Recorded and all are More than Well Deserved

Having Worked 53 Years with CDETB and as a Principal in Marino College Plus Establishing the International Desk Personally Tony was a Huge Support while Providing great Inspirational Guidance and Leadership where he had special Talent.

On a Corporate Level Tony was One of the Early Pioneers that Built Pillars, Bridges and Roads that Many Generations of CDVEC/CDETB Staff and Management continued to Use for Personal and Corporate Success for Many Decades

Overall Tony was a Wonderful Friend and Colleague a One in a Million Person.

I know from my late husband Tim, who had the privilege to work alongside Tony in Ballyfermot Vocational School in the 70's, what a brilliant & compassionate teacher he was. He was a force of good. So many lives were lucky to have been influenced & shaped by him.

So sorry to hear of the death of Tony. Heartfelt sympathies to Ann and family. Very regretfully, due to illness, he was denied a long and happy retirement. Tony and I worked together for many years. He was a passionate educationalist who facilitated and always encouraged the youth of Dublin City VEC schools to achieve and grow though educational effort. His great love of mathematics consistently manifested itself in his various roles in the world of education throughout his life.
Tony was a man of high integrity, compassion, genuine empathy and understanding. He is a huge loss!

I was Tony’s secretary for 7 years in Head Office when he was an Education Officer. He was such a lovely man and a great boss. He often talked to me about his family who meant the world to him. My sincere sympathy to his family . May he rest in peace

Although we knew Tony in his later years, he was a wonderful, hospitable and engaging man who clearly touched all in so many ways.

Sincere sympathy to Tony's immediate family and all who mourn his loss. I was taught Leaving Certificate Physics by Mr. Breen in the mid 1970's at Ballyfermot Vocational School as it was then. I can still visualise Tony arriving and departing each day in his blue Ford Cortina car. He was a powerful presence in the school at the time and devoted to his students and profession. May Tony R.I.P. and rise again in glory.
