And in more recent years enjoyed many catch ups with him , most recently in Ballyclough at his sister in-laws funeral where he was in great form. I have so many lovely memories of my uncle Tony. I recall him coming to New York with his mother, my grandmother, to celebrate my First Holy Communion in 1968. And other subsequent trips to NY where we visited Washington DC and spent a week in the Catskills Mountains at an Irish resort. Lots of barbecues, singing and dancing. When I was young I enjoyed collecting stamps, so we wrote each other letters and I would love to hear from him from Africa and looked forward to yet a new stamp with an exotic safari animal. He was a lovely singer and he sent us a cassette tape of him singing that my mom and dad played during our dinner times. He was such a well educated and smart man. He loved teaching and often told stories of his students.

I was on my honeymoon when I heard the wonderful news that he would settle down with the love of his life, Maddie, and share that love with their son Anthony. He was so proud of Anthony for all his accomplishments and finding love with his dear Carol. His smile and positive attitude was contagious and brought joy to all the Buckley family - and all those whose lives he touched. I am saddened by this sudden loss, but will treasure the lovely memories i have of him. Much love to Maddie, Anthony, and all his family and friends who mourn the loss of his beautiful soul.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Tony. He was an absolute gentleman. I was caretaker in Finians during his reign. Many a good chat we had and he always stopped for a chat when I'd meet him on the street. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Sorry I can't be with you to celebrate his life.
