Brid, although we knew that Tony was unwell, we were really shocked when the sad news came through. It was surely for someone like him that the term 'joie-de-vivre' was first conceived, for truly Tony's warmth, joyfulness and zest for life were infectious. He will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to be numbered among his friends and our sincerest sympathies go out to you and all your family. Dear Brid, Helen, Anne, Conor & Kate I am devastated by your loss.
I met Tony 30 years ago when I called in from New Ireland. He was such a nice and welcoming person. He was always positive and inquisitive. I decided if I ever went into brokerage, I would model it the same as Tony’s business. I was delighted in 2005/6 that Tony approached me to buy out Bunbury L& P. Tony remained working part time for another 8 years. He was a great mentor and friend. I learned so much from him. I will miss him.
I know how much he loved all his family by the way he spoke about you.
May he rest in peace.
