Sincere condolences to the Enright family on your loss. My earliest memory of Tony was how he demonstrated his "admiration" of a particular Minister for Health singing Slievenamon (!) at the Department's Christmas party in the Civil Service club, many many moons ago. Priceless. The term "he gave him the boot" would not be inappropriate. An excellent colleague and a genuine person. Ar dheis de go raibh a h'anam dilis.

Sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He was full of wisdom and wit and a pleasure to work alongside.

Tony was my first boss when I moved to the Department of Health. He was a great colleague and I enjoyed lots of pints in Mulligans in his company. He was a kind and witty man who always had time to chat. Great times. RIP Tony

I was sorry to hear of Tony's passing. I worked in the Department for many years and got to know him a bit. I was very junior but it never seemed to matter for Tony who treated everyone with grace.

I was so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. Sincere sympathies to all his family at this sad time. Tony was one of my first bosses when I joined in 1978 and he was a great mentor and friend in many respects - including going to Quo concerts in the National Stadium and hearing on a Monday morning of his weekend rally exploits (when he did manage to finish one). He'd brighten up anyone's day. RIP Tony.

I’m sad to read of Tony’s death. It’s 44 years since I last met him when we worked together in the Department of Health but I have never forgotten his decency, good humour, calmness under pressure and his excellence at his job. He was highly thought of by all who knew him.
