Deepest Sympathy to the Boston Family on the passing of Tony. I worked with Tony in Bush radio and tv co. And Technicon for a number of years. He was always a true gentleman. Rest in Peace Tony.

Our sincere condolences to Frances and all the family and extended family. I never knew him as John when a group of us attended Kevin Street way back in the late 60s . He was famous at the Chelsea Flower Show and I expected him to be a judge at the Sweet Pea section . He claimed he could find 10 faults in any assembly submitted for his inspection..he wasn't kidding ! He was the first to recycle coffee cups for seed propagation ! Will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him !

Tony brightened everyone's day at Technicon, he was such good fun to work with and so very generous with his knowledge.
His love and understanding of the Sweet Pea was inspiring , infectious and beautiful.
Today his colleagues remember his words "There is a time for everything and a season for everything, a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot"
Rest easy Tony, the bulbs are in the ground.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Tony’s passing. I worked with Tony in Technicon/Bayer for many, many years. He was great fun to be with and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

So sad to hear of Tony's passing, our condolences to Frances and her family. I met Tony over thirty years ago in Dublin 5's Sweet Pea show and from then on he helped me improve in all aspects of growing and exhibiting Sweet Peas. He had such an infectious likeable personality that he would light up any room. Without Tony's advice, I would still be a Novice grower. I Have won lots of Championships and bred several new varieties For that alone Tony will be forever in my thoughts, but most of all I will miss his friendship. Rest in peace, Tony.

So sorry to hear of the death of Tony. I worked with Tony for many years in Technicon but we were also members of Cameron Horticultural Society, so met up with Tony at many talks and shows. A wonderful man, full of wisdom, and a great inspiration for me to study Engineering at University (I still have the Electronics books he gave me over 30 years ago). He will be sadly missed.
