Sincere sympathy to all of Mr. Mc Kernan's family and friends. He was my science teacher in the Presentation in the mid 80's and I vividly remember his classes and his sense of humour. He made learning the periodic table fun! May he rest in peace.

Mr McKernan was such a lovely man, He was my teacher in the Presentation and he was memorable for all the right reasons. It is hard to think we will not see him in Kilkee again. As Declan said he was both Tony and Anthony and also Andy(after Andy McEvoy)when he was playing soccer in St Joseph's. Met him and Catherine briefly earlier this year in Scoil Íosa and I was particularly struck by Tony's warmth and endearing friendliness. I know he was very proud of his grandchildren and you will all miss him very much. May God grant you strength over the coming days and weeks.

We had a great time together during our time in Sexton St. C.B.S. Pipe Band, where Tony was the life and soul of the group as we paraded out the Ennis Road to the Gaelic Grounds on match days.
