It was with great sadness and sense of loss that I learned of the passing of Tony, a loyal work colleague and friend over many years in UB, Westport.
Tony commanded the respect of his colleagues based on his genuine kindness, integrity and the respect he showed to staff and customers alike.
He was a quintessential gentleman and a sheer joy to work with.
His good humour, sense of fun and joyous laugh were infectious and brightened our days. Always hospitable, many memorable social occasions were enjoyed in the company of Tony and his beloved Hilda.
Condolences to Hughie, Gillian, Michael, Catherine and Rosaleen. Also to Tony’s sisters and the wider Morris and Quinlan families on your sad loss.
May Tony now be rewarded with eternal peace in Heaven, reunited once again with his beloved wife Hilda.

I knew Tony only briefly, but I deeply admired his many hobbies and interests. Even in his advanced age, he lived each day with remarkable energy and maintained many warm social connections. His kindness, curiosity, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of meeting him.
May his lovely and gentle soul rest in peace.

Tony was a sincere and decent (in every sense) man of principle commanding respect from those who knew him. Erudite and knowledgeable on many subjects, his company was thus always pleasant and engaging. He was a cultured man with interest in the arts and his depth of knowledge on music in particular was impressive. He was an authority on horse racing and sport in general.
Tony was most generous and hospitable and meetings with him (and lovely Hilda) will be fondly remembered not least for his jollity and sharp wit.
Tony was a character. He loved life and lived it to the full. Now reunited with Hilda, he will be greatly missed after a life well lived.

I am so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing and convey my sincere sympathy to his family . I have such happy memories of Tony as a colleague in Ulster Bank where we shared a lot of good days with lots of laughter, and of course his great wit, he was a wonderful character and a gentleman.
