Losing a father is like losing a source of shelter and unwavering support. It’s a pain that’s incredibly difficult to cope with, and my heart aches for you.

I’m truly saddened by Tony’s passing. This is undoubtedly a very tough time for you, the boys, and your entire family.

Please know that I’m here for you—anytime, for anything you may need...always!!!

May his soul rest in peace. He will forever live on in our hearts.

Dear Eilish and family, I’m only reading Tony’s death notice tonight Monday. I met Tony many years ago through the late Michael Byrne , Galway County Council,and forever since he looked after my cars, bicycles and every single thing I ever asked him.
He was so proud of you all and always spoke with such affection of you and the family,and indeed all his nieces and nephews particularly Lily’s sons who he was always so close to.
He was a darling man who I will miss dearly.

His perfectly true-to-life photo here, shows Tony exactly as I will remember him: a relaxed, warm, contented, knowledgeable yet unassuming man, with a ready smile for everyone. I've known and liked Tony for a long time, dating back to the times when I purchased kids bikes from him, in Munster Avenue, and even before that through a shared interest in sport. I will miss running into him and having 'the chat'. Heartfelt condolences to his immediate and wider family and to all those close to him who are mourning his passing.
