I am so sorry to learn of Tony's death and my condoleences to Eithne and family. My brother John Gahan was a great friend and Tony called my mother 'Ma' - and she loved it. Tony and Eithne came to Kilkenny for the memorial Mass for my husband Tom on 4th February 2020 the last time I saw him. Tony I hope you know Ireland won yesterday! I shall have a Mass said for him. Love from Etta Mahon

I will sadly miss Tony. He always had time to stop for a chat and always called me “Laur”. There are many photos at home that feature Tony & Eithne, Gary, Ronan, and Sue. From birthday parties to the parents’ parties. Bill and Rosemary couldn’t have asked for nicer or better neighbours. Bishopscourt Place was a special place to grow up - made that way by the friendships that our parents shared that we all as children benefited from. We all grew up with the security of neighbours who genuinely cared about each other and had strong friendships. It was a privilege to grow up in such a place of caring and love. Tony was an integral part of that. May he rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Sue and all the Phelan family on your sad loss. May Mr. Phelan rest in peace.
