I offer my deepest condolences to Tony's family and to his devoted friend, Cynthia, on the sad occasion of his death.
Tony had a unique, flamboyant personality yet also a very kind heart. I got to know him during his later years on Palmerston Road and spent many enjoyable hours in his company and Cynthia's. He had an astringent wit and wide-ranging interests which extended, at this time, to the creation of highly artistic "found object" sculptural pieces. I am happy to have some of these as keepsakes of him.

Saddened by Tony's passing. His vibrant presence and wisdom shaped our formative years. With wise words like ‘don’t say Thanks a million – say Ta very much!’, he encouraged us to be different. From his creative recipes like Strawberries with Grilled Marshmallows to his beach-collected Art, Tony dared to be authentic. A dear friend to my parents too, the Kilcoyne family expresses profound gratitude: "Ta so very much, Tony".

My Sincere Sympathy to Tony's family on his untimely passing.
I have been a loyal and true patron of Tony's from his initial days in the Swan Rooms in the late 1950s through to his Salon in Nassau Street , onto his Salon in Middle Abbey Street and ultimately to his own Residence in Palmerstown.
He was a true Giant in the world of Hairdressing and an amazing talented person. He revolutionized the whole concept of Hairdressing and was a Pioneer in his field. I attended him right up to the start of Covid. But as I do not live in Dublin any more , it was not always that easy to get to see him.
I am therefore most saddened to hear of his passing, the end of an Icon.
I so enjoyed his Banter and his unique take on everything throughout all the years.
He will never be replaced. There can only & ever be one Tony. I was also acquainted with his late wife Bernie.
