Dear Walkin family, it was with great sadness I heard about Tonys passing...I am away. For so many years we have all had Tony in our midst as a big, warm caring personality in Ballinrobe. He reached out to so many in his daily life. He always asked how you were and he really meant those words!
We all enjoyed the fun and banter with this kind, outgoing man. He is a sad loss in the town so I extend my deepest sympathies to you Irene on the loss of your dear husband . You pair were always so good together. Your lovely family is testament to your love. So Mary , Paddy, Paula, Peter, Tony, Elaine, Mark, beloved grandchildren and in laws. I am truly sorry for your loss....there will never be another Tony. Sadly missed...

An absolute gentleman whom I first met in Ballinrobe in 1973 and regarded as a friend since that time. We shared many mutual interests especially the football. You are in our thoughts and prayers at this challenging time.

We are very sorry to hear about Tony's passing. He had a long association with the old Ballinrobe Town Hall, including serving as chairman for a number of years. Tony was a committed and valued member of the wider committee of the present development and his presence will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
