To Lesley and all Tony's family, the world of archaeology has lost a wonderful person and archaeologist that I was so pleased to have had the pleasure of working with. He brought great humour and energy to all that he did even in the muddiest, wettest and coldest of conditions. My deepest condolences to you all. The team that Tony formed such an important part of are scattered to the winds now, but I know they too will be saddened by his passing. Duine uasal den scoth agus fear léinnte ab ea Tony.
