I feel so lucky & so grateful to have known someone with a spirit as kind and open and clear on what to fight for in this world as Trish. From traveling together in London to dancing in Dublin, Trish lit up the spaces she was in with her humor and her brilliance and her commitment and her care. She made people feel cherished, and appreciated, and enough just as we are, when so much out there makes us feel like we are wrong. She gave me words of encouragement that I know I will come back to for the rest of my life — that will keep me going through the hardest moments. Her love for her children, her family, and her friends shone bright in times that can be so dark, and in her memory, I want to tell people more how much they mean to me. The day after our hearts broke with the news, there was a full moon. Though it was hidden behind the clouds at first, the moment a candle was lit & a tune sung out in her honor, the night cleared and moonlight filled the sky. Thank you, Trish, for being you. For being a star. For making me laugh with your cheek, for making me cry with your heart. Let it be known that we were technically on time to that meeting at the Women’s Centre, and that I’ll carry you with me wherever I go. <3 Sending all of my care to Angel, Noel, and family, and with a whole heart of love for Trish from across the ocean — Jupiter

Our deepest condolences to Trish’s children, family and friends. Trish worked with us on a key piece of human rights research, and we were privileged to be able to return the favour by supporting the launch of an excellent publication in which she was a researcher. She has left an important legacy and will be incredibly missed.

Trish was one of the strongest and honest people I’ve met. She had a great sense of humour and was so curious and open to life. She was fierce and believed so strongly about equality and having a better world for everyone. My deepest condolences to Angel and Noel, the family and all who knew her and mourn her. Trish was one in a million and will be sorely missed.

The last memory I have of Trish is beautiful. I have seen her changing so much since we first met, and I remember feeling inspired by her strength. We laughed and joked, and she looked so beautiful that night. I am happy I told her and hugged her. She will always be like this in my memories, and I am grateful for the time in this life I could share with her, even if it was not long, was enough for her to leave a mark. I will always remember her for the strong, brave woman she was. I like to think she found some peace now, while she will live in our thoughts and hearts. RIP dear Trish

Trish was one of the most sincere and caring people I’ve ever met. She was unapologetically herself (and incredibly funny) and although we only met a little under three years ago, I am so grateful to have had her as a friend and in my life. I love you pal. You will be dearly missed.

My condolences to Trish's family, and close friends. To meet Trish, was to know her - not only was what you saw, what you got, but also her warm openness, care and empathy created an immediate bond. I admired Trish's approach with people, her sharp intellect, and of course, her humour. She would always ask me how I was doing, and always ask after my partner and dog too, no matter what was going on for her in her own life; and she felt genuinely thrilled for the joy of others. She always spoke about her wonderful children who she was very proud of and loved deeply. She fought for a better world and you'd know, without a doubt, she'd always, always have your back. The world is a little darker but I will, in time, carry her light with me, and try to be a better person in her honour. Rest In Power, Trish.

I was so sad to hear about the sudden loss of Trisha . She was in my Junior Infant class in Corpus Christi and I have such fond memories of her as a happy clever little girl . Sending love to all the Leahy family and especially to Angel and Noel .
