Turlach Cotter

I had the pleasure of working with Turlach in DKIT. I found him a very sound fella. So sorry to hear of his passing. To his family and friends, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss.

I was absolutely devasted to hear this sad news. I was only working with Turlach on Thursday and Friday after he came back from his holidays. Will miss our chats, his quick wit but mostly his kind heart. Thinking of your parents, brothers and your boys who you adored at this very difficult time. So sorry to hear of Turlach’s passing. I will always remember his kind greeting whenever I met him while doing print work for DKIT Sports and Societies. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a generous spirit. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, he will be sadly missed.

Utterly heartbroken to learn of Turlach’s passing. We had the occasion and pleasure to meet Turlach twice when we presented both of our sons to DKIT Reception to seek advice on courses. Turlach was exceptional. He was so helpful and had a fantastic character and conversations with us and our boys. We are truly saddened for the huge loss to his family and friends and work colleagues. Deepest sympathies to Turlach and his entire family. I met Turlach in the Mater Hospital back in Autumn of 2002 after our respective accidents. We had some great laughs while coming to terms with our life changing situations. He would brighten up the room when he came into it. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. Turlach was a lovable chap with a glint in his eyes. Although there was distance we will always have the fun memories of Granny Cotters meals as children. I will never forget his pronunciation of my mam's name Mag and how he loved her apple crumble.
He will be remembered here as a warrior.

My sincere condolences to all of Turlach's family and friends. He encapsulated all that was great about, not just wheelchair basketball, but wheelchair sport in general.

He was a tough and fully committed player on court. He had a heart and drive and gave 100% every time from second 1 until the final whistle. It was a privilege to play against him and have those great battles.

He will be greatly missed by so many people.

Until we have a rematch in that great stadium in the sky, Rest in Peace T.
