Sorry for your loss, so many memories of the tramyard... May he rest in peace.
Remembering Ultan in the late 70s. We shared mutual friends, one of whom injured herself whilst hitchhiking in West Kerry. Ultan drove down in his van and drove all of us around the Slea Head on an unforgettable journey with soundtrack etc!
Other memories include The Dalkey Tram yard after hours with The Cars? on replay and a superser gas heater...poor Paddy scored his jeans on a wet cold night, as everyone watched in suspended animation. Ultan was larger than life back then and I hope he is having a lovely time reunited with those from his early years.

Condolences to all of Ultan's family and friends. A great man and a loyal friend.

Comhbhrón ó chroí le Clann Browne.
Deepest condolences to all the Browne family at this sad time.
I will remember Ultan as a special childhood friend. We had fun together on our bicycles riding around, crabbing and scrumping when I visited Dublin with my family. We wrote to each other every week for over a year. I kept those letters for decades afterwards. My good wishes and condolences to the people he has left behind.
Sincerest condolences to Coley, Peter, Oliver, Garret and the extended Browne families. I’ll miss Ultan’s sense of humour, smile and most of all his friendship.
May you rest in peace, Dear friend.
May you rest in peace, Dear friend.
My sincere condolences to the Browne family. I often think of my Sandycove days in the 1970s when I got to know the Brownes. We were neighbours on Sandycove Avenue East. Going fishing in the double canoe for mackerel on summer evenings with Coley. Listening to records when we had open house. Chatting to Anne in her kitchen about politics and feminism. Meeting in that pub in Dalkey. The summers seemed to last forever.
