Comhbhrón ó chroí to you Méabh, to you Niall and to Úna's extended families on the very sad news of Úna's passing. Úna was a lovely person, generous of spirit, full of concern for others, one of the nicest people we ever met. We go back a long way. Joyce is a distant cousin of Leo's through Dudley and her mother, Kathleen Raftery nee Milne. We were very sorry to have missed Úna's funeral, leaba i measc na naomh go raibh ag anamacha Leo agus Úna.

I am so sorry Meabh & Niall about the passing of your mother Una. She was a beautiful lady inside and out, she will be sadly missed. I’m sorry I didn’t make it home from London to see you both & give my condolences in person but I will call to see you both in the future. I have very fond memories staying in your home with your mum and dad along with yourselves during the summer holidays, visits to the Strandhill beach & climbing Meaves Cairn. Una was a fantastic woman & she always gave such great advice. May she rest in peace & fly with the angels, big hugs to you both!

Sincere condolence to Meabh, Niall, Rita, Josie and the extended Mattimoe and Jordan families on the sad passing of Una. Una was a good friend and classmate of my mother Kathleen Byrne whenever I met Una we always had a chat, such a friendly lady. I remember as a child Una and Leo's Christmas card and letter coming every year. I didn't get to the funeral and I had told another neighbour and friend Eamon we would go together but we didn't hear about it until this morning. I have just watched on line and it was really a lovely celebration of Una's life she would be very pleased. May she be happy in her new home in Heaven reunited with Leo and all their departed family and friends. Rest in Peace Una.

I have just watched this beautiful ceremony for Una with my sister in law Pauline.
It was a most fitting reflective funeral mass by Fr Niall who captured the essence of Una’s kindness , warmth and magnanimous nature.
