We were terribly sorry to hear about Úna's passing. We will miss her in the Hugh Lane Sunday Concerts, she was a one of the most regular attendees and all of the staff were very fond of her. She always had time to stop and chat and discuss the music world. Our condolences to the family. RIP

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Una’s family at this time of great sadness and loss..
I met Una for the first time many years ago through our shared love of music. I used often sit with her at the concerts at noon on Sunday’s at the Hugh Lane gallery in Dublin city centre. I also met her often at the National Concert Hall.
I will always remember Una for her friendliness, her cheerfulness, her wittiness, and her profound love of life, people and music.
She always greeted me by name whenever we met, delighted to see me as I was to see her, ever warm, ever witty, ever smiling.
A mutual friend informed me of Una’s recent death today, January 18th, at the Hugh Lane concert in the Presbyterian church nearby.
Una would have loved the music we heard today; and she would have been very happy that we had attended.
God grant Una eternal rest.

Adrian and Stuart, I only found out today about Una’s death, so I am both shocked and sorry that I was unable to present my condolences in person. Una and I were fellow pupils for many years in Chiara’s Italian class, where she impressed us not only with her literary and artistic knowledge but also with her recall of snippets of gossip!
I also had lunch with Una from time to time, when we shared family news, so although I never met you, I knew how much she loved you and how proud of you she was. In spite of her failing health, she was always positive and cheerful.
May she rest in peace now.

Una is sadly missed by all her friends in Italian class . A lovely lady with a great sense of fun . Arrivederci Una .

Deepest sympathy. Mrs Keogh was my elocution teacher many years ago who corrected my speech issues. A dedicated and encouraging teacher.

I befriended Una during covid times.

I have fond memories of visiting Una in her new home after her marriage to Brian..She invited a group of work friends from Royal Exchange Insurance..She was a gracious and happy hostess...a beautiful Galway lady...

Úna loved live and got to different places on the bus or however she could get there. We went shopping one day together and she loved going around the shop exploring. She was very independent and had a great drive in her that I admired.

We are both very sorry to hear of the death of Una. She lived a few doors up from us and we knew her as a lovely lady who was determined to continue to enjoy life despite some challenges. Sincere condolences to her sons and the wider family. May she rest in peace.
