Ursula Maguire

Sincere condolences to all of Ursula’s nieces and nephews ( Maguire’s and Jackson’s ) and all those who cared for Ursula in recent years.
I spent many happy summer holidays at “36” where Ursula and her siblings and Aunt Ursula ensured that I had a most enjoyable summer for many years.
So sadly I say Goodbye to the last of my SANDYCOVE cousins.

We were so saddened to hear of the passing of the lovely Ursula. Ursula was a first cousin to mum (Pamela Nolan) and I know how much mum loved and spoke so highly of her over the years and their commitment to FG. We are thinking of all the Maguire family at this very sad time. May she forever rest in peace.

We have lost a legend in Glasthule and in Fine Gael. Ursula was a most memorable character with strong, principled opinions, which she was not afraid to articulate. A big Thank You to Ursula for all her support of me in FG. Gnúis Dé go bhfeice sí, ceolta na nAingeal go gcloise sí. Requiescat in pace.

Ursula was a tour de force in IYA
She was a dedicated member of local Fine Gael Party. As well as being an active in her Church and her Community.
She was a very special person and I am privileged to have known her

A wonderful lady who left us with incredabily wonderful memories. She will live on in our hearts forever and a day, thank you Ursula.

My sympathy to the Maguire family and every relative of Ursula's who feel her loss. May God grant her soul eternal happiness.

On behalf of the extended Delany family, we express our condolences to the Maguire family on the loss of Ursula. She was the 'rock' on which sailing in Ireland has been built through the Irish Dinghy Racing Association, Irish Yachting Association, and Irish Sailing Association. She was a great listener, and very understanding. We really appreciated all the work she undertook on our behalves. In later life we often men her on the short walk from the village to her home. It is important that her contribution is never forgotten.

Sadden to hear of Ursula's passing I regret that I can not attend her funeral mass. The family are in my thoughts and prayers.

A bright light has left this world with Ursula’s passing, after a very active life well lived. Sincere sympathy to all the Maguire siblings and all who loved and cared for Ursula.

Ursula was a good friend in sailing, and to sailing. A doughty administrator who ran the ISA very effectively in her own unique way, aided by a band of dedicated volunteers.

Ursula was a much loved and respected member of the Dalkey-Glasthule branch of Fine Gael for most of her long life.
