A huge loss to all who knew him. Odhrán was a man of commitment and vision. Setting up an innovative mentoring programme which saw first year students mentored by sixth year students, supported by a county wide co-ordinator. The Meitheal programme was and remains a highly effective initiative addressing students' needs at this vulnerable time in their education lives. A legacy through out the entire county to Odhrán's insights to young people and forethought into addressing their needs. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilis.

On behalf of all the staff at the hospital I send our deepest condolences to Fr Odhran's parents, his sisters, family and friends. We remember too his brethren family in the Diocese of Ferns.
During his time working in the hospital, Odhran touched the lives of many patients and their families. He was a wonderful work colleague and friend, providing quiet support and a listening ear to so many. We will miss him in so many ways. May he rest in eternal peace.

So very sad to hear of Odhran's passing. I only reconnected with Odhran a few years ago .
We recalled a funny quite random night in The Cedar Lodge when my car broke down coming back from a gig outside it !
No mobiles in 1991 . Having made the calls , Tom and Odhran insisted we bring in the gear and have a sing song . One of the best nights ever out of misfortune ( car breaking down ) ! By the time help came the 'party' was in full swing and continued for some time . I still recall Odhran's rendition of " Scots wha' hae " and being amazed he knew it - being maybe 21/22 at the time. Sincere condolences to his family and many friends.

I never met Fr Odhran nor did I know him but I had occasion to attend the funeral mass of Bridie Cullen in Adamstown in December at which Fr Odhran offiiciated. His mass was so memorable for many reasons but his words about Bridie brought her memory so much to life and were so very apt but his humour was unforgettable. I cannot believe he is now resting in that same graveyard. Such a loss. Deepest sympathy to his parents, family and all his friends

Fr Odhrán was a fantastic man, we are terribly upset to hear of his untimely passing. He was a great character who had time for everyone. Even though he never travelled with our group he always looked after us and helped us with any of our fundraising efforts! We will miss him greatly.
