Val. even your name puts a smile on my face. Val was a huge part of my life through my years in UCC. Always listened, never judges, would always make you smile and laugh. A line dancing gentleman, rest and dance well wherever you are. You’ll be greatly missed but never be forgotten!

Sincere condolences to Val’s family and friends at this sad time, I am so sorry learn of his passing. In the late 1990s, I was Community Development Officer for the IWA in Cork and was blessed to recruit Val as a driver. He was exceptional in every respect. More than a driver, he was an advocate, tireless worker, and an outstanding support to all of the people with disabilities that we had the privilege to work for. May he rest in peace.
