So very sorry to hear of Vals death. A really nice person with always a great welcome. Sincerest condolences from Liz and David Kenny.
I met Val in the month of April 2023. I considered him as a friend and older brother. He was considerate, cordial, and a happy man. Thanks Val for meeting and knowing you even for few months.
My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Kerrigan family. May your soul rest in the eternal peace VAL.

Val was the public face of his beloved CYM for so many years. Every new member would be taken under his wing, and lifts to away matches plus countless other kindnesses would be proffered. The Club feels a little empty following his death.

Very sad to hear of Val’s passing! Growing up as a CY kid he was one of the most recognisable faces around. He always had time for everyone even up to a few months ago when I saw him last! RIP xx

It is difficult to think of attending a bowling function in Terenure Sports Club from which Val is missing. He embodied all that is good about bowls such as friendship, loyalty and encouragement. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

It is with great sadness that we learned today of Val’s passing. He was a stalwart member of Terenure Sports Club who was always generous with his time in supporting the club. Both Val and Betty will be sorely missed but not forgotten.

Val, thank God I got to visit you only two weeks ago and we had a great chat about our memories stretching back over 60 years! We said our goodbyes that day but now the day has come it's very hard to let you go. Farewell our dear friend and rest easy now in the gentle arms of Betty! x
