Very sad to hear of Valerie’s passing. We shared a love of gardening and we’re members of An Taisce. She always played down any of her illnesses and she came to several of our Connect Parish outings, she had a lovely sense of humour and was always keen not to create any trouble for anyone. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Away at present so am unable to attend her funeral. Sincere condolences to all the family. Jennifer Sowman Tullow Parish

Sincere condolences on the sad news of Valerie. I worked with Valerie in An Taisce, my first job in the 80's. She was a lovely lady. I can remember her trying to protect me when I was being robbed there!.
