My deepest condolences to Vasso's family. Vasso was a dear colleague at St Andrew's, always friendly and there for a chat between classes.

Τα θερμά μου συλλυπητήρια. Γνώρισα τη Βάσω τις πρώτες ημέρες που ήρθα στην Ιρλανδία σε μια εκδήλωση για τον Καβάφη. Στην αρχή εντυπωσιάστηκα από τον τρόπο που διάβαζε, την ηρεμία της φωνή της και μετά που τη γνώρισα προσωπικά, από τις γνώσεις της και το χαρακτήρα της. Έκτοτε είχα την ευκαιρία να συναντηθούμε κάποιες φορές κοινωνικά, να συζητήσουμε, να γελάσουμε… δυστυχώς μετά ήρθε η πανδημία και η αρρώστια. Θα ζει πάντα στις καρδιές όλων μας και αφήνει μια τεράστια παρακαταθήκη, την οικογένεια της, τους φίλους της και τους μαθητές της.

Θερμά συλλυπητήρια, θα μας λείψει πολύ η Βάσω

Dear Panos , Anna and Angie, words cannot express the sadness I felt when I heard of Vasso’s passing. She was a great Greek teacher, but also a good friend. We had many philosophical conversations , as Greeks do on the Luas back from class. She truly had a love for life and her family and a smile for everyone. Gone from our sight but never from our hearts. My thoughts are with all her family.

What a joy to have known her and to have shared many happy memories with her in our dragon boat club.
Vasso was Warmth, Light and Love personified. She spread them around wherever she went, and this world will be worse of without her.

Our lovely Vasso, we had so many great moments on the boats and in the Clubhouse. I will always remember our weekend in Lough Lannagh, you made me laugh so much. Paddle wherever you are, you will always be a Plurabelle.

Τουλάχιστον είχα την ευκαιρία να περάσω λίγο χρόνο μαζί σου πριν το τέλος και αυτό είναι μια παρηγοριά.

Vasso was the kindest soul. Knowing her enriched my and Keith's life enormously. She will live forever in our memories of all the good times we had with her. Her departure was long and slow. She clung to life fiercely and we are heartbroken to have lost her. But even in her passing she has worked her magic on us by bringing us closer to Panos. We will be friends for the rest of our lives with you, Panos. We cannot take the grief of you, Panos, but we will stay by your side.
