We were all very saddened at the loss of our closest friend Vera. What a beautiful lady. I moved to Raymond St. in 1963 and lived very close to Billy, Vera,Lorraine and Vera Junior for over 10 years. Vera and her husband Billy were my guardian angels and advisers. I couldn’t have asked for better. They kept an open home as I did also at no 35. Happy days which I will never forget.
They were the most united family I ever met. Full of charm and Christian values. I have no doubt that when Vera went through the Golden Gates last night Billy was there to greet her and give her a big hug. We will not see their likes again.
May the green sod of Mount Venus rest lightly on their grave. Deepest sympathy to all the Berkeley family.
