Margaret and all the family. So sorry that your precious mam has gone on her final journey. Her name evokes so many treasured memories of growing up on Mount Drummond Ave. Mrs. Butler's wonderful chips on a Friday, turnovers still warm from the delivery van & wrapped in brown tissue paper, the jars of sweets that had me standing at the counter for so long trying to make that very important decision on what to spend my (10p!) pocket money on, and many many more wonderful memories. She was a kind, thoughtful, funny & elegant lady who was a true friend to my mam and so many others. She was loved and deeply respected by everyone who had the privilege to know her. The world has lost a shining light. May she sleep peacefully now in the arms of the Angels.

So sad to hear about veras passing, I have fond memories of her going back to my childhood and and being very close to her family she was very good to my mother if we needed some items out of the shop hours and reminds me of my mother, who had great respect for her, and all her family, lovely people, so best wishes to all her family, relations, and friends many of whom lived in harold's Cross and mt Drummond, ☘💚

It was with great sadness that we heard about Vera's death. Our community feels a little smaller without her but her spirit/memory will live on.
