I met Vera over 25 years ago. I have fond memories of the last time we met in Cairnhill a few years ago. My memories of Vera were of a kind, gentle, witty and soft spoken woman.

She was a lovely lady and I have many good memories of her when I was in the house years ago. She also played bridge with my mother (Heather O’Connor) and I know that they enjoyed a good friendship.

I am so sorry to read that Vera has passed. She was a great lady who made a great cuppa tea when I was doing her garden for her and always had a bit of interesting chat. May she be happy now that she has been reunited with her husband.
