Elaine, I have such good memories of your Mum. She was a woman of great integrity and in her teaching always had the care of the child foremost in her mind. She had a great feel for the most needy children in her care. She was like a second mother to them. Loyalty was another of her good qualities. She would not spare herself in her 'giving' and this was experienced by her teaching colleagues and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Unfortunately, the many sisters in Sion Hill who experienced her loyalty and friendship are in nursing care or have passed on to a better life. My deepest sympathy and that of the community are with you at this difficult time.
